Autumn 2024

Sensory Garden Fencing

A HUGE thank you to M C C Civils Ltd for all their hard work in replacing our mud kitchen fencing.  It looks amazing.  With great kindness MC C Civils Ltd gave up their weekend to carry out the work and it looks AMAZING!

Thank you so much from all the staff and children at Galley Common Infant School.

BEFORE....

AFTER!

Today we said goodbye to Miss Jamieson after 6 years at our school.  We had a special assembly for her and gave her some cards and gifts.  Thank you, Miss Jamieson, for all you have done to support our Galley Common children over the years.

Year 1 have enjoyed wonderful sports enrichment sessions.  They have learnt a variety of sports run by a great coach.

A Surprise visitor....

What a lovely surprise!  Santa and his helpers came for a visit to deliver some special treats for the children.  A BIG thank you to Triple A who have made this special delivery again this year.  The children will all take home an advent calendar ready for the countdown to Christmas!

St Peter's Church Christmas Fayre

We are so proud of our Galley Common choir.  They sang beautifully at the St Peter's Christmas Fayre on Saturday.  Well done to all the children and thank you to Mrs Yorke and Mrs Lavis for helping the children to learn the songs.

Tesco Award

We are thrilled to have been awarded £1,500 from Tesco to improve our playground markings!  The children are excited to give their ideas and we  will be adding the markings in the Summer for the children to enjoy.

Thank you to Tesco and to our families for nominating our school!

Remembrance Service November 2024

The school attended a lovely remembrance service at St. Peter's Church.  They listened respectfully then laid poppies to remember the fallen.

Autumn Food Bank Donation

Thank you to everyone who donated food on our non uniform day.  The food was delivered to the Nuneaton Food bank today!

Book Corner Competition

The School Council had an important job of choosing their favourite book corner in school.   They thought about the following things:

•The right amount of books- not too many, not too few.

•Comfortable, cosy places to sit.

•Soft toys to cuddle and read to.

•An inviting and exciting-looking area

Then, the school council members voted……

Class 1...

Class 2...

Class 3...

Class 4...

Class 5...

Class 6....

And the winner is...

Class 6
